Below are our Introductory Flights. If flying the airplane is not for you, but you still want to take an airplane ride with a great view, take a scenic flight instead.

The Introductory Flight Experience

We offer two hands-on flying experiences for people who have never flown before. Each flight gives you the opportunity to fly the airplane with a certified Flight Instructor. Both the Introductory Flight and the Discovery Flight experiences are designed for you to fly the airplane.

A brief pre-flight walk-around the airplane with your Flight Instructor provides an opportunity to learn about the airplane. As you walk around the aircraft, your Flight Instructor will explain what makes an airplane fly, pointing out the propeller, ailerons, stabilator and rudder.

In the cockpit, you will be introduced to the yoke, rudder pedals and throttle, and how to use these to control the aircraft. A brief explanation of the flight instruments and start-up procedure will follow. Then you will start the airplane, don your headset and take-off for the wild blue yonder!

After Your Discovery Flight

An Introductory Flight is a guided introduction to flying. It is meant to introduce you to aviation and flying. For some, it is the first step toward learning to fly and becoming a pilot. For others, it is the fulfillment of a dream – a simple wish to sit at the controls of an aircraft and experience the incredible view and feeling of flying.

After your Introductory Flight, we will answer any questions you may have about the airplane, aviation and flight training. Because you flew with a Certified Instructor, your entire flight can be logged toward your pilots license should you choose to continue your training.
